Central Park >> The Highline >> Chelsea Market.

And they rocked it!! The chilly fall weather presented only beautiful foliage and a reason for these two to cuddle and keep each other warm. I loved every single moment with Liz and Nazir and their dog, Lola! For those who don’t know, pets are always welcomed to your engagement session!

Enjoy the images! P.S. Happy Birthday Liz!

These two are St. John’s University alumnus. So it would make sense to hold a portion of their engagement session in the school itself right? Absolutely!

Fortunately it was drizzling on and off through out the day and we had to devote 95% of the session indoors, forcing myself to use light in a different manner and exploring indoor photography from a whole new perspective. These two were the most energetic and enthusiastic couple I’ve met when it came to proposing ideas and creating images. Not to mention St. John’s is a play land for any photographer or any other university for that matter I presume.

A little fun fact about these two: Starbucks addicts! Part II can be found here!

Wait… You want to start in South Seaport, head to your apartment, change, and finish off the session in Battery Park? Uhhhh…Yeh. I’m game!

As Payel and Regi approached me on the cobblestones of South Street Seaport, I could already tell they were going to be one fun couple to spend the evening with. Aside from a random dog that attacked me during one of the photos, and a small sun shower that intruded on our session, this engagement shoot was just phenomenal. As they spend a lot of time near the seaport, it was only ideal for them to hold their session here. But you can’t go wrong with a little intimate setting within your apartment either!

Check out the photos and show some love!

So Jessica, like most of my brides to be, confessed to me: “I hate getting my picture taken”

It’s so strange, because from the photo below you would think she was very comfortable in front of the camera. Not to mention, she is really photogenic and her smile is super contagious! It’s never an easy task to be photographed, that’s why I stay behind it icon smile Jessica + James: A Candid photo worth sharing . So it took a little warming up, but with James being the awesome playful guy he is, it wasn’t too hard to get these two to settle in and work the camera. You’ll see more of these two soon!

So for those of you who know me, know that I prefer a little cool weather over warm weather (FALL > SPRING), but today was one of those unexpected cold days given how lovely the weather has been as of late. The winds out made it feel like the weather was in the teens but Thomas just recently arrived from Germany, and his response to my sniffling was, “compared to Germany, this is pretty nice” WHAT!?

Nevertheless, we dared to have an engagement session and the goal was to make this session extra steaming hot even in this freezing cold temperature. We strolled through the Chelsea Market and wound up at the High Line. I have found my favorite combo of engagement session locations!

Ghaidy and Thomas are two of the most fun people I’ve been around in a looooooong time. I usually strive to make my clients comfortable with me and my camera, but with these two, I felt like I knew them for years…and then some! With positive attitudes and awesome down to earth personalities,Ghaidy and Thomas made for an awesome pair in front of the camera. Enjoy the images. Show some love!

Meet Johny and Swapna. Living in New Jersey, working near Ground Zero, and getting Married in a few weeks in India. Given how difficult it was to schedule a session we had an extended engagement session and broke it up into a couple of days. Given how daring the both of them were for photo opportunities, it was only fare that I tore my jeans for the last shot.

Enjoy! Congrats!

A couple familiar faces here. A shot from today’s “mini session”. I couldn’t settle for anything less than making them look like movie stars.
